The evolving self

Born of the belief, that dressing is never purely about clothes.

It surpasses vanity, and works to conceal or reveal our inner landscape.

Clothes accompany the many evolutions of ourselves. Some outlasting others, revealing deeper clues to our psyche.

Previously existing as Before March for 9 years in Northcote, Thy Self represents our evolution and that of our communuty.

Curator Melissa Mikletic has always treated the space as an extension of her home.  

We lead with the sensory, clothes are felt, lived in, not purely photographed.
